Yoga and Buddhism
Yoga as transmitted by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras is a way of getting in touch, knowing and purifying our body and mind in order to manifest the great potential for clarity and understanding within us.
The practice of yoga has three basic components that are linked to one another:
1. Cleansing our body and our mind
2. Finding out where we are, who we are, what we are
3. Releasing, letting go
Patanjali offers several concrete means for removing the obstacles that darken our mind and make our body dull.
In this course, we will explore deep awareness of our breath as the most significant link between body and mind. We will prepare our body to be relaxed and alert at the same time, helping our mind to be present.
