Touching The Buddha, Touching Oneself
A silent retreat
With Sr. Annabel (Chan Duc)
It is possible to meditate in many positions, and one of them is the prostrate position, known as touching the earth. Here our hearts and minds are on the same level, and different levels of connection and contact are opened up to us: we can once again connect with our roots as found in our blood and spiritual ancestors and in our own deepest aspirations. From our deeper level of understanding we can love and forgive those we thought we would never be able to love and forgive. To help with our practice of coming back to ourselves, we shall practice noble silence during this retreat, except during Dharma sharings.
