In everyday life we are continually confronted with the undesirable and unpleasant within ourselves and the world. Yet if we seek to fight, we lose our inner peace. So, how can we find a healthy way to deal with our tendency to fight?

In this course we will practice opening our hearts and minds, so that we can also embrace what we regard as the unpleasant aspects of life. We will practice constant mindfulness to heighten our awareness of what is happening in our body and mind. By being non-judgmental we can develop acceptance of unhealthy mental attitudes and accept them more easily in others too. By learning to recognize and overcome our habit energies, we will open ourselves to the beauty and sacred within ourselves and others, to appreciation and gratitude. Rather than cutting ourselves off in difficult situations, we will practice remaining present  here too.
