This course is designed to help teachers foster attention and concentration in the clasroom and create a peaceful and loving atmosphere in the school. Teachers will also learn how to look after themselves and fulfill their need to realize their ideal of compassion.

We will explore new ways of:

  • Communicating
  • Helping children to be aware of their feelings
  • Helping children from difficult backgrounds
  • Bringing mindfulness and inclusiveness into the classroom
  • Resolving conflicts and preventing violence in the classroom
  • Taking care of ourselves as a teacher in order to be able to take better care of our students.

If you are not able to come for the whole week, you can come for just the weekend, arriving on Friday evening (17:00) and leaving on Sunday afternoon (17:00) after a mindfulness class with children, which you are invited to observe.

Language: English with German translation

For those who cannot attend the week or the weekend portions, you are invited to join a One-Day Workshop on Saturday, 23.07.2011, from 08.30-17.30

APPLIED ETHICS IN EDUCATION

Many teaches want to know how they can bring an ethical dimension into school life. It is possible to increase our joy and satisfaction and that of the students we teach through simple concrete methods that can be learnt during this one-day workshop.

The following main topics can be applied both in our personal lives and in our work with students:

1. Releasing tension

2. How to handle strong emotions

3. Conflict resolution.

Please contact registrar@eiab.eu to register in advance for this event.
