How often do we eat without being hungry, or buy things we don’t need? In everyday life we are quick to follow bodily and mental urges that do nothing to satisfy our real needs. Then on reflection we ask ourselves: why did I do, say, buy or look at that? Why did I get drawn in?

Being caught up in impulse buying creates problems and deprives us of our freedom. In this course we will learn to identify the many bodily and mental impulses that underlie our actions. We will decouple the impulsive urge to act from the act itself. We will cultivate distance from our impulsive urges and create greater scope for action: we will increase our inner space and allow our urges to pass through without acting upon them. The direct result is greater freedom and happiness. By creating more distance from our impulsive urges we can see more clearly how our own habit energies determine our working, thinking, communication and our use of the media. This in turn will allow us to relax and gradually decondition ourselves. S.a.  www.achtsame-wirtschaft.de
