Body and Mind are One
11.-16. 8. BE CALM AND LET GO: A PATH TO HEALING
Retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh and the monks and nuns of the EIAB
Mindfulness enables us to be happy in the present moment. However, we often believe that without other people, things or spiritual possessions it is impossible to have a good life. So we cling to what we have and devote an enormous amount of energy to holding onto it, or even trying to gain more. Yet within we remain tense, always on the alert and separate from others. If we are to find spiritual peace, we need to let go and regain contact. This doesn’t mean that we cannot enjoy what we have; rather, it means integrating letting go into our spiritual practice. This will heal the inner wounds, which prevent us from seeing our joyful oneness with everything and everyone.

HEALING BODY AND MIND
Retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh and the monks and nuns of the EIAB
The way we live, work and communicate with each other has an influence on our body and mind. Constant stress, in particular, can have an affect on all areas of our life and wellbeing – health, spiritual peace and interpersonal relationships. Mindfulness is a very effective remedy for the stress and hectic pace of our day and age; it offers us the opportunity to pause, to become aware of our own life once again and perhaps give it a new direction. Mindfulness, meditation and relaxation are pleasant ways to help maintain, or regain, our mental and physical health. They lead to a more balanced life and greater happiness.
A programme for children and young people is also offered.
