Acceptance From The Heart
When we are confronted by difficult challenges, such as the loss of our own abilities, of a close friend or relative, or our job, it is often not easy to take care of our own pain. In situations like these gentle acceptance can be a deeply healing practice.
Acceptance is sometimes misunderstood. We may think that it means being passive, even in situations that genuinely require action. Or we may have the impression that if we’re not happy all the time, there must be something wrong with our practice.
During this weekend, we will explore acceptance of our own difficulties as a path of healing. By healing ourselves we are also healing a part of the world.
