Taking care of our relationships
16.00 – ca. 18.00
Relationships are precious: we are social beings from the very beginning, not simply individuals. Life begins as a twosome, in the belly of the mother and in infancy. In relationships we feel secure and protected, inspired and challenged. And although relationships can also be a source of disappointment and hurt, without close relationships we feel alone and unseen. A psychological rule of thumb says that to digest one difficult encounter we need five equally strong good ones. We are very vulnerable to hurt, yet we need others. How can we find the right balance between genuine appreciation and constructive criticism of both those around us and ourselves?
